Yes. Babushka jewelry is made for everyday wear, including swimming, hot tubs, the sauna, working out and sleeping if it’s comfortable. We recommend removing it for the Blue Lagoon due to its high concentration of silica and minerals. After swimming, rinse your jewelry with fresh water and dry it rather than leaving it wet for a long time.

A little care goes a long way. Avoid spraying perfume directly onto your jewelry and remove it when using conditioner, strong hair products or other products that can build up on the surface. For cleaning, use lukewarm water with a mild soap and a soft cloth or a brush, avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals.

Babushka jewelry is made from stainless steel with 18K gold plating, making it a better choice for sensitive skin than common jewelry base metals like brass or copper. The materials are durable, corrosion-resistant and generally well tolerated by sensitive skin.

With proper care, Babushka jewelry is designed to keep its color and finish without tarnishing or turning your skin green. Heavy wear and exposure to strong products or chemicals can affect jewelry over time, which is why we recommend following our simple care instructions.

We ship across Iceland with Dropp and process orders within 2–3 business days. Once shipped, orders in the capital area and southwest usually arrive the same or next business day, with the rest of Iceland typically taking an additional 1–2 business days. If you’re outside Iceland, email us at babushka@babushka.is before ordering and we’ll see what we can arrange.

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the Dropp delivery option you choose, and orders over 15.490 ISK ship free. Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking information directly from Dropp.

If you need to change or cancel an order, email us at babushka@babushka.is as soon as possible. If we haven’t processed or shipped it yet, we’ll do our best to help. Once an order has been sent, our normal return policy applies.

Yes. You have 30 days from when your order arrives to return unused items in their original condition and packaging for store credit or an exchange. Store credit is valid for 2 years. Return postage is yours to cover, at Dropp's rates.

Register your return at dropp.is/voruskil, print the label they email you, and drop the parcel at any Dropp location. If the email doesn't appear, check your spam folder. If you'd like to exchange your item for something else, fill out the form on our Returns & Exchanges page or email us at babushka@babushka.is and let us know which piece you'd like instead.

Earrings can be returned in accordance with our standard return policy as long as they are unused and returned in their original condition and packaging. Faulty earrings are always handled separately in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Yes. If you return your order within 14 days of it arriving, you can get a refund back to your original payment method. Return postage is yours to cover, and original shipping isn't refunded. From day 15 to day 30 you can still return or exchange, but you'll receive store credit instead.

Yes. Every Babushka order comes carefully wrapped and ready to gift — simply remove the outer postage bag. You can also add your own card or personal note inside the cardboard box.

Yes. The person who received the gift can register the return at dropp.is/voruskil, or fill out the form on our Returns & Exchanges page and we'll help from there. They don't need the original receipt — just the order number or the name of whoever bought it. Gifts are returned for store credit or an exchange.
